The Connections Program was developed to teach life skills to offenders with learning challenges.  It has been in use in correctional settings since 1996, and in various community settings since 2000.  The program has been used with the following populations:

*  developmentally disabled
*  chronically mentally ill
*  adults and juveniles
*  male and female

Fundamental to the program is it's cognitive-behavioral approach, which has the best outcomes with correctional populations according to recent research.
